Messi’s Son Scores Stunning Goal for Inter Miami in Weston Cup Final

Under the watchful eye of Lionel Messi, Thiago’s son scored a fantastic goal for Inter Miami in the final of the Weston Cup.

As Lionel Messi gears up for the opening match of the MLS with Inter Miami, on Monday, he was present to witness a special final. In the youth tournament Weston Cup, one of La Pulga’s three sons, Thiago, played in the U12 age group and scored a beautiful goal.

The video of this goal quickly went viral. The 11-year-old received a cross from the left wing and executed a spectacular volley that found the far corner of the opponent’s net, leaving the defender and goalkeeper unable to react. Messi celebrated this goal from the stands, where he is often seen attending with his family, friends, and teammate Luis Suarez.

Thiago Messi, seen sitting fourth from the right, celebrated winning the championship with the U12 team at Inter Miami.

Since Messi started his new life in the US after leaving PSG, Thiago Messi has been a member of the Inter Miami Academy. The image of the eldest son of Antonela Roccuzzo and Messi appeared on the club’s official Instagram account along with all his teammates from the U12 team.

A month earlier, the Daily Mail reported that Messi’s other two sons also joined Inter Miami, but there have been no signs of Ciro and older brother Mateo wearing the club’s gear so far.

Little is known about the story of Messi and Roccuzzo’s intertwined fate

Thiago shared a training space with his father at the Florida Blue Training Center, where the senior Inter Miami team trains. The U12 team competes in the Florida Academy League, unlike the U13, U14, U15, U16, and U17 teams that compete in the MLS Next league.

Before leaving Spain, Messi had Thiago participate in one of the categories of the Barça Escola project specifically for children aged 6 to 8, in search of a training method similar to that of La Masia.
