He was in danger of freezing to death when the RSPCA rescued him and brought him to their Southridge center in Hertfordshire. It was there that he met Nero, a 9-stone mastiff, and the two became inseparable. Despite their size difference, they have formed an unlikely bond that brings comfort to both of them.

Digby was found severely dehydrated and frightened between two bins in North London last week, but with Nero’s reassuring presence and daily intake of pet food that exceeds Digby’s weight, he quickly regained his strength. Natalie Ditchfield, an RSPCA animal collection officer, expressed how wonderful it is to see Digby safe and content in his new home with his new pal.

Discovered in a dire state, dehydrated and fearful between two bins at a block of flats in North London, Digby was given a second chance at life when he was taken in by the RSPCA.
