This morning, the Vietnamese social media community was flooded with a touching account of a dog that was hit by a car on Vo Chi Cong Street in Hanoi. MC Nguyen Minh Ha took to social media to share the story and help identify the dog’s owner. According to her version of events, while en route to the airport at 4:30 a.m., her family witnessed the accident and moved the injured animal to the side of the road. When they came back later, they found the dog still lying there in pain. Despite their efforts, they were unable to locate the owner. MC Minh Ha turned to social media in the hopes of finding the owner quickly with the help of the community.

Minh Ha went above and beyond to help a dog in need by sharing its story on her personal social media page and reaching out to dog and cat lovers associations on Facebook for assistance. The online community quickly spread the story and image of the dog, hoping for its rescue and a loving owner. Hanoi Pet Rescue was able to save the dog and take it to their rescue center where doctors found that the dog’s spinal cord needed continued monitoring and treatment due to the strong impact of a car. Despite heartless individuals claiming to be the dog’s owners wanting to bring it back for slaughter, netizens expressed relief and happiness that the dog was rescued and has now been placed with people who genuinely want to help and care for it.
