Around four months ago, a volunteer residing in Pushkino caught sight of a homeless cat roaming around his yard. The volunteer took it upon himself to feed and take care of the furry creature. Unfortunately, the cat faced an unfortunate incident – it was attacked by dogs and bitten severely. The cat went missing after the incident, but the volunteer managed to locate the feline the following day. After finding the cat, he took it under his wing and provided it with the necessary care.

Albert gave his new pet the name Misha and brought him to the veterinary clinic for a check-up. The veterinarian assessed the cat’s injuries and determined that they were not severe. As a result, Albert took Misha home and provided him with care as a volunteer. Initially, everything seemed to be going well, but after three months, Misha’s condition began to deteriorate. He struggled with breathing difficulties, prompting Albert to seek medical attention once more.

The aftermath of the dog attack was more severe than anticipated. Unfortunately, the incident caused Mishka to suffer from a diaphragm injury that could result in suffocation at any moment. Initially, the veterinarians did not detect this issue; however, they are now preparing Mishka for surgery, which needs to be done sooner than scheduled. Mishka’s condition deteriorated rapidly on January 18, leaving no choice but to proceed with the operation immediately.

The surgery was a challenging one and took several hours to complete. Fortunately, it was a success. However, Mishka took a long time to come out of anesthesia and was disoriented on the first day. Since the clinic did not have a hospital, Albert had to bring Mishka home and designate a separate room for him since he needed complete rest and there were two other cats in the house.

Albert had to make frequent visits to the vet for Mishka’s bandages and spent many restless nights monitoring the cat’s condition. After a long recovery period, Mishka finally had his sutures removed on January 31st. However, his relief was short-lived as he soon developed an infestation of ear mites. Overcoming this ailment took two weeks, but Mishka is now fully recovered and ready for a new home. Unfortunately, Albert cannot keep Mishka as a pet due to conflicts with his other cats. Volunteers are actively searching for a loving home for Mishka to call his own.
