A tiny kitten found herself in a predicament when she accidentally hitched a ride on a car carrier and ended up in a parking lot with a broken leg. Luckily, a kind-hearted person brought her to a veterinary clinic for help. Two weeks later, the kitten – now named Acorn – is filled with joy and vitality, radiating positivity wherever she goes. Aimee, from Be Their Voice Animal Rescue, revealed that despite the need for an amputation, Acorn is thriving and spreading happiness to everyone around her.

Before the operation, the staff made sure to spend time with the kitten, who showed them love and affection right away. Every time she was around the staff, she would stretch her toes, delighting everyone. Aimee, also known as @_catz4life_, shared, “She was discovered on a Tuesday and had surgery just two days later on Thursday. The veterinary clinic kept us updated throughout the entire process. She was incredibly sweet from the very beginning – all the updates from the clinic featured a sweet, purring, biscuit-making little bundle of joy.”

The adorable two-pound fighter, Acorn, quickly won over the hearts of everyone involved. With an e-collar on, Acorn sought comfort in Aimee as soon as she arrived in her care. Aimee provided a safe and cozy place for Acorn to relax and recover, along with plenty of food for her to enjoy throughout the day.

At just two months old, Acorn was unstoppable in her kitten antics. Aimee would allow her some cone-free time for meals and supervised play, where Acorn would eagerly knead her paws while eating.

Aimee was amazed at how well Acorn had adapted to life on three legs, noting her speed and lack of concern about her recent amputation. Despite the surgery, Acorn remained full of energy, playfulness, sweetness, and joy.

Acorn had a particular fondness for ball toys, showing off her playful side whenever she had the chance. Taking her meds and wearing the cone didn’t faze her, and she would happily return to her rest area without complaint.

During playtime and cuddles, Acorn’s purring and paw-kneading would showcase her pure joy and contentment. She quickly learned to navigate running and playing with her three legs, embracing her new reality with gusto.

Her excitement for play was evident whenever a ball was in sight, prompting her to pounce and engage in playful bunny-kicks with a single hind leg.

Following a two-week recovery period filled with TLC, Acorn bid farewell to her cone and had her stitches removed. She was now geared up to explore the world with unbridled curiosity and carefree playfulness.
