During the summer, a vet student named Lindsey found a small ginger cat without a mother on the side of the road. The kitten was in critical condition and brought to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Sadly, the poor cat was not doing well and was at risk of being euthanized. However, Lindsey decided to take Smush – as she named her – home with her and give her the care she needed.
After receiving treatment for her upper respiratory illness at the foster home, Smush was on her way to a full recovery. About a month later, she had made great progress and was eating independently. Not only that, but Smush had also fully recovered from ringworm and her respiratory infection.
The cute feline was recovering under the loving care of a foster family. She was in high spirits, in good shape, and ready to find her perfect forever home.
Thankfully, Smush found her forever home with Shannon and Sarah, who reside in Florida. They stumbled upon a post on Facebook featuring the adorable feline and instantly felt a connection with her. As a result, they decided to apply for adoption and were ultimately successful in bringing Smush into their loving family.
The newest member of the family, Smush, is now settling in nicely and enjoying all the love from her new family. The household consists of an adorable mix of three dogs, three cats, and even a hedgehog! Check out the video for the heartwarming story of Smush’s journey.
