Similar to other creatures, Instagram is a diverse place filled with individuality, and Gringo the one-year-old British Shorthair cat is no different. Just by glancing at him, you can almost imagine his unique accent. With his top hat, round glasses, and tobacco pipe, Gringo could easily star in his own Victorian-era detective series.

Gringo resides in France with his humans Sabrine and Romain, as well as his sibling Milko. This young cat, who is a year old, had around 60,000 fans on Instagram before his account was tragically hacked earlier this year.

Sabrine, one of the current caregivers of Gringo, describes him as a cheerful cat with a vibrant personality. She mentions that he enjoys playing around the clock and often gets into mischief by climbing curtains, scratching the furniture, and leaping into plants. Sabrine finds it amusing that Gringo sometimes stands on his hind legs, resembling a meerkat, for a few minutes at a time. Gringo’s distinctive appearance is matched by his quirky behavior.
