Just hours before England faces Spain in the Euro 2024 final, JACK GREALISH has been working out by himself to improve his fitness.

Before the new Premier League season, the Manchester City player trained hard in Portugal.

After tragically missing out on a berth in Gareth Southgate’s England team in Germany for the Euros, Grealish took the summer off.

Before the tournament, the former Aston Villa player trained with the tentative 33-man team, but he was not included in the final 26-man roster.

Grealish, though, will trail his teammates closely when they take the field in Berlin tomorrow.

After finding it difficult to live up to his own high standards the previous season, the 28-year-old is making sure he is in peak physical condition going into the new Man City campaign.

Grealish battled with form and injuries last season, making just 10 league starts for Pep Guardiola’s team despite winning the Premier League trophy.

And with his toned body on display in the 26 degree heat of Portugal, the superstar winger is ensuring he is in peak form for the next campaign.

Even while it was disappointing to not be selected for Southgate’s team this summer, there are some advantages.

The 36-time England international has been able to spend more time with his expectant partner Sasha Attwood in addition to taking a break and concentrating on his health.

Last Sunday, the happy couple shared a touching post on social media to share the wonderful news of their pregnancy.

The caption for a photo of Sasha’s growing baby belly said, “Half of me, half of you – beyond blessed.”

Grealish continued, saying, “Life’s biggest blessing”.

Grealish and Sasha, who have been together since childhood, started dating when they were young teenagers attending the same Solihull school.

Gareth Southgate has had to rely on other talents to help his team push through to the final because he does not have Grealish in the squad.

And the England manager is anticipated to start with the same starting lineup that he used to win the semi-final tomorrow.

For the first time since 1966, the whole country is eager to see if the Three Lions can overcome the opposition in a big competition.

As the first men’s English team to reach a major final on foreign soil, they will nevertheless go out of Germany as record-breakers.
