The animal appears to be grieving the passing of its owner, James William “Will” Warner, who was recently interred in West Nashville, Tennessee. Will’s uncle is a representative by the name of Todd Warner from the same state. In an emotional photo shared on Twitter, Will’s canine companion can be seen lying by his gravesite.

Julia Palazzo, a WKRN journalist, shared a heart-wrenching photo of Warner’s dog on social media. The image was sent to her by Will’s mother, who had placed it on her son’s grave after his funeral. Palazzo expressed her sadness upon seeing the photo, stating that her heart was broken.
